I actually have this playing on a loop in an exhibit I set up at the center where I work called "The Problems with Plastics." It discusses the wildlife hazards associated with plastics as well as how recycle labels don't necessarily mean something is actually recyclable... in theory yes, but in practice not usually. In most places in this country only #1 and #2 are actually recycled. #6 is almost never recycled, and I have a unit that calls it "the worst offender." I'm trying to get the word out to people.. in at least a small way.

ReplyDeleteI think every bit helps. It's a big ship. It's gonna take a long time to turn. Hopefully not too long.
